Launched by London & Glasgow Eng & Iron Shipbuilding Co, Yard No 366, on 7/7/1913.
1072t legend, c1300t deep load
81.5 x 8.2m x 2.9m
2 shaft Parsons Turbines, 4 Yarrow boilers, oil, 24,500shp giving 29 knots.
3 x 4in 45 cal BL Mk VIII, and 2 x 21 in TTs with 4 torpedoes.

Joined the 4th Flotilla on completion and served with the The Grand Fleet on the outbreak of war. Summer 1916 she was at the Humber, moving to Portsmouth later and then in 1917 to Devonport.
