HMS Puffin, built by Stephens,launched 5/5/1936. Sold for breaking up at Grays,16/1/1947.

1939-45 Escort duties in North Sea and English Channel

25/10/1939, sank U-16 in the English Channel near Dover by depth charges assisted by the ASW trawler HMS Cayton Wyke.

26/3/1945 rammed and sank a German Seehund miniature submarine off Lowestoft. Heavily damaged and declared a constructive total loss.

Armament removed at Sheerness and laid up

16 /1/1947 sold and scrapped at Grays

Later classed as Corvettes, designed for UK coastal waters, and as such had a limited range and supply of depth charges.
